Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan and periodise training structures related to the physical preparation at Southend United Football Club including:
• Design and monitoring of strength and conditioning programs
• Monitor field based physical loads via GPS
• Delivery of daily field based specific warm-ups
• Delivery of strength and conditioning field-based training sessions
• Plan and implement recovery strategies
• Attend home and away fixtures
• Provide guidance and oversee youth team staff to ensure the existence of a clear physical development pathway towards the first team
• Conducting research and implementing innovative training concepts
• Liaising with the head physiotherapist and other medical practitioners to construct and deliver rehabilitation programs to injured members of the playing squad
• Management of sports science internships
• Management of strength and conditioning equipment and facilities
